Terms & Conditions

The Services are for businesses only, such as campgrounds, RV parks, and other hospitality operators. To use the Site or order Services, you must be at least 18 years old and authorized to bind your business to these Terms. The Services are not for personal, family, or household use.

We offer three screening tiers: Standard, Comprehensive, and Employment Full Reveal, each as described on the Site.

Reports are prepared by GLC Investigations (the “CRA Partner”), a third-party consumer reporting agency. Ledger & Lore LLC is not a consumer reporting agency. We market the Services, manage accounts, and coordinate orders.

The federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) limits when a consumer report may be requested. By placing an order, you certify that:

• You have a legally permissible purpose for the report.
• For employment screening, you have given the individual the required stand-alone written disclosure and obtained their written authorization.
• For guest or customer screening, you have a permissible purpose and have obtained any consent the law requires.
• You will comply with all applicable laws in your use of the report.

If you take action against an individual because of a report, in whole or in part, you must follow the FCRA adverse action process. This includes:

• Sending a pre-adverse action notice before you act.
• Providing a copy of the report and a summary of the individual's rights.
• Allowing a reasonable response period.
• Sending a final adverse action notice.

Compliance with these requirements is your responsibility.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when you place an order.
• Keep all reports confidential and stored securely.
• Not resell, share, or publish reports.
• Not use reports for credit, insurance, or housing decisions.
• Cooperate with any audit of your use of the Services.

Fees are stated at the time of order, and payment is due when you place the order. Fees are non-refundable once a search has started. Third-party record fees may be passed through to you at cost.

Report records come from courts and agencies we do not control, and they can be incomplete or delayed. No screening tier guarantees a clean history. A report is one input to your decision, not a substitute for your own judgment.

Individuals may dispute inaccurate information with the CRA Partner.

You may not gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems, scrape the Site, introduce malicious code, order reports under false pretenses, or use the Site or Services unlawfully. We may suspend your access at any time.

Site content, the Ledger & Lore LLC name, and our logo belong to Ledger & Lore LLC or its licensors. You may use them only as needed to access the Services.

You will defend and indemnify Ledger & Lore LLC and GLC Investigations against claims arising from:

• Your use of reports.
• Your failure to meet the certifications in Section 3.
• Your failure to follow adverse action requirements.
• Your violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access at any time. Sections 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 14 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes will be heard in the courts of Hidalgo County, Texas.

We may update these Terms. If you keep using the Site or Services after an update, you accept the updated Terms.
